We're Off to See the Wizard

This week was National Children's Book Week! All week long at school we have been celebrating in different ways. The grand finale was the book character parade on Friday. It was so much fun! All the faculty and kids dressed up in costumes. The theme was a character from a book that learned something. I was invited a while back to join the 1st grade team as the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz. I was so honored they asked! Specials and Speech joined in too. Here is the cast of characters: Price as Dorothy, Murphy as the Scarecrow, Sims as the Tin Man, me as the Cowardly Lion, Hardy as the Wicked Witch, Coach as a flying monkey, B was a Lollipop Kid, and Achee as Glenda the Good Witch. We rocked!
