San Antonio - Day Three

This morning we woke up and went to the Pearl Farmers Market. Originally the market was the Pearl Brewery (or San Antonio Brewery Association). Remember the Koehler House from yesterday's post? Well, Otto Koehler was the President of the brewery. In 2002, the brewery was bought by a developer and turned into retail and residential space. The market offers local, seasonal and fresh meat, fruit and veggies for sale. They also have other items for sale like fresh lavender soaps, bread, cheese, jams, etc. I bought some fresh peaches.
We also bought some cupcakes from Saweet! Kate got the Chocolate 2 and I got a Chocolate Vanilla. They were fresh and moist!
After shopping we headed home for sandwiches and pool time. I am tellin' you if I had a pool, I would be in it 24 hours a day. I could float around reading a good book or listening to music or visiting or napping forever. It is so relaxing. After we got out of the pool James grilled some steaks and we had baked potatoes, salad and broccoli. We rented Remember Me from the Red Box. (Which by the way SUCKED! Don't waste your time. Seriously, could Robert Pattinson be any more tortured? Blech!) For dessert we had Blue Bell homemade vanilla ice cream and fresh peaches. Perfection!
