We set out for Fredericksburg at 6:30 AM. We made it to the Gillespie County Fairgrounds at 11:30 AM. Good times! We hung out with Dad, Bren, Donnie, Rusty and Billy all day cooking and preparing for the Wild Game Dinner. It was so much fun!!!! Bren made Axis chili! Yummy! It was a hit by far. We started serving food at 6 PM. People were coming back for seconds and thirds AND begging her for the recipe! She didn't give out her secrets to anyone! After the dinner there was an auction and raffle. Good times!Here is Kate loving her some chili!
Now that's a lot of chili! Fifty pounds of Axis meat and just a little beer!
